Mr. Oyetola Muyiwa Atoyebi is a Nigerian Law Graduate of the University of Ilorin with 11 years post call.
Aged 34, Mr. Atoyebi is a Managing Partner of one of the Leading Law Firms in Nigeria, Omaplex Law Firm. He is also in charge of the Firm’s Government Business Practice as well as Litigation, International Dispute Resolution, Maritime and Shipping Law amongst others.
Mr. Atoyebi who hails from Igosun village, Oyun LGA of Kwara State is presently a team leader of the Emerging Areas of Practice of the Firm, which focuses on Public Expenditure Management, Project and Corporate Finance, Privatization, General Corporate Governance, Compliance, Obtaining Practicing Licenses and Approval by Regulatory Agencies.
He is also a trusted advisor to many government agencies and international organizations including Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigerian Military e.t.c. He also brings charismatic, structured approach to solving problems and an unwavering commitment to achieving clients’ goals.
He is particularly familiar with financing the development of infrastructure projects and has advised on development of pipelines, petroleum assets, jetties among others.
He is a member of IBB Golf and Country Club and currently serves as the Secretary of the Prestigious Club.
In July 2019, the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) announced that Mr. Atoyebi and 37 other Lawyers would be conferred with the most coveted rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). This title is conferred on Nigerian lawyers who have practiced for not less than 10 years, and have achieved distinction in the profession.
With this, Mr. Atoyebi has now become the youngest Nigerian lawyer to be elevated to that height.
He and other awardees will be sworn in during the 2019/2020 new legal year of the supreme court in September 2019.
