We received with great shock and sadness the passing of the Ondo State Commissioner for REGIONAL Integration, Prof. Bayonile ADEMODI.
Bayonile Tolani Ademodi, who was born on 10th March, 1952 to the Ademodi family in Ondo City, died on Saturday, 19th December, 2020 at the age of 68.
Prof. was a man of many parts, deep thinker, philosopher, ideologue, social welfarist and above all, passionately committed to whatever he believes in.
A True OMOLUABI who never wavered in his pursuance of a just and equitable society where opportunities must be open to all.
Cut from the radical left, he was much loved by his students to whom he impacted great knowledge and his political family who saw in him an affectionate deeply caring man, putting the welfare of the collective before personal comfort.
His death leaves a big vacuum particularly at a time intellectual rigour is needed in charting a new course for our country in general and Western Region, in particular.
Prof. Ademodi, since his appointment as Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, worked tirelessly with DAWN Commission on developing a road map for the development of the Western Region under the stewardship of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu.
He will be sorely missed.
May God grant his soul eternal rest and give succour to his family and loved ones.
Rest well Bayonile Tolani ADEMODI
